Andre M.

Andre M. has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current position as a Software Engineer at STARLIMS. Prior to this, they worked at Merck as a LIMS Specialist II, where they were responsible for delivering LabWare LIMS calculations and SQL queries. Andre also produced design documents and test plans for multiple laboratories and practiced strong configuration management and version control.

Before joining Merck, Andre worked at Trinchero Family Estates as a Lab Quality Coordinator and Lab Technician. In these roles, they utilized various programming languages and tools such as SQL Server, JavaScript, Python, C++, SharePoint, VBA, and LIMS Basic. Andre provided support to onsite users, maintained laboratory systems, and conducted user training.

Prior to their experience at Trinchero, Andre worked at The University of British Columbia as a Student Researcher and Library Technology Assistant. In these roles, they gained experience in simulation of chemical systems, graphics production, documentation, and customer service.

Andre M. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from The University of British Columbia. Andre attended the university from 2011 to 2016. In 2018 and 2019, they pursued continuing education in Computer Science from Diablo Valley College. Andre returned to Diablo Valley College in 2021 for further continuing education in Computer Science, and their current program is ongoing.
