Delon Sampaio

Delon Sampaio has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Delon began their career in 2005 at MarketSource Inc. as a Hewlett Packard Representative, where they trained sales associates and directly communicated with customers to drive sales. In 2009, they joined Abbott Informatics as an Associate Validation Analyst and progressed to become a Senior Validation Analyst. During their time at Abbott Informatics, Delon implemented a modular test automation framework for a regulated medical device, improving testing turnaround and product quality. Delon also successfully managed multiple software testing teams and led instructional seminars on test automation best practices. In 2021, Delon joined RingCentral as a QA Automation Engineer and later became a Senior QA Automation Engineer. Delon spearheaded the transition from using the TestCafe automation suite to implementing a test automation framework using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber. This resulted in improved test quality, reduced test failures, and the automation of previously unautomatable manual tests. Currently, Delon is working at STARLIMS as a Senior Software Tester starting in 2023.

Delon Sampaio obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University. Delon attended the university from 2005 to 2009.
