Mirela Popovici

Mirela Popovici has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Mirela started their career at EBS Romania as a Software Engineer Intern, where they gained extensive knowledge in software solutions architecture and design. Mirela also worked on analyzing user requirements and implementing software solutions.

After that, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Babes-Bolyai University and as a Substitute Computer Science Teacher at Computer Science High-School 'Tiberiu Popoviciu' in Cluj-Napoca.

Mirela then joined Babes-Bolyai University again as a Software Developer, where they worked on designing and implementing the University Information System. Mirela also tracked database trends and adopted emerging technologies.

Later, they joined iQuest Technologies as a Software Developer, where they worked on various projects for both internal and external clients. Mirela was responsible for analyzing user needs, defining product requirements and business rules, and maintaining coding standards. Mirela also participated in code and design reviews.

Mirela then joined STARLIMS as a Senior Software Engineer III, where they worked on undisclosed projects.

Currently, Mirela is working at Abbott Informatics as a Software Engineer III. Mirela is involved in research, design, and development of computer software specifically for the laboratory field. Mirela also works on developing integrated development environments and agile team projects focused on HTML 5 and Mobile platforms.

Mirela Popovici pursued their education at various institutions. Mirela started their academic journey at Emil Racovita High School from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a degree as an Analyst Programmer Assistant in the field of Computer Science. Following that, they attended Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Later, they continued their education at the same university and completed a Masters degree in Databases in Internet and Electronic Commerce from 2002 to 2003.
