Jamie Bester has over two decades of experience in the mental health and education sectors, currently serving as a Recruiter at Starling Community Services since January 1999. In this role, Jamie collaborates with Human Resources and leadership to understand hiring needs and implements consistent hiring practices. Previous positions include Community Mental Health Coordinator, where support was provided to youth and families in navigating mental health challenges, and Placement and Training Coordinator, responsible for onboarding and off-boarding students and volunteers. Jamie has also worked as an Intensive Family Support Worker and Child and Youth Counsellor at the Canadian Mental Health Association, alongside roles at the Waterloo Region District School Board. Education was acquired at Mohawk College, earning a degree as a Child and Youth Worker.
