Angela Wilkins

Angela Wilkins serves as the Executive Director of the Ken Kennedy Institute at Rice University, leading initiatives in AI, Data, and Computing while collaborating with over 200 faculty members to address global challenges. Additionally, Angela is an Adjunct Professor at the Jones Graduate School of Business, where the course "Artificial Intelligence in Business" was co-founded with Emma Zohner. As a board member of the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Angela advocates for enhanced healthcare solutions. Angela's previous roles include Venture Partner at First Bight Ventures, focused on supporting SynBio companies, and Member of Chief, an organization for women executives. Prior experiences include founding and serving as CEO of Mercury Data Science, Director of Clinical Research at the Center for Science and Law, and research roles at Baylor College of Medicine. Angela holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Lehigh University.
