Johan Lagerlöf has a long history of experience in the entertainment industry. Johan began their career in 1991 as a songwriter for Universal Publ, EMI Music, Sony BMG Publ, Peer Music, and Bonnier Music, where they wrote hits and earned +10 Platinum awards. In 1992, they co-founded Bass Nation Communications, a music production company and music studio in Odenplan, Stockholm, Sweden. In 2000, they co-founded Mobilehits, which became the most visited youth site in Sweden and was ranked as best Swedish entertainment website in 2002 by Internetworld. In 2003, they co-founded Plus Four Six AB, the market leader in mobile advertising in 2005 with an estimated 30% market share. In 2008, they co-founded Global Media Bank, which supplied music ingestion services to Spotify and was acquired by Omnifone in 2012. In 2018, they became Chairman at Corite and Head of Catalogue Strategy, Head of Music Programming, and Head of Commercial Partnerships at Spotify. In 2019, they became Co-Founder at Starmony, and in 2021 they became Head of Investments at Pophouse Entertainment Group.

Johan Lagerlöf obtained a BTS Master in International Economics from LHS between 1996 and 1997. Prior to that, they obtained an LHS in Music from Janglers Inn between 1989 and 1993. Johan also holds a PADI Diver certification from PADI.
