Justin Cahill

Justin Cahill has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Financial Accountant at AIW for two years before moving to Sensis as a Financial Accountant from 2002 to 2004. Justin then joined SCA Hygiene Australasia as a Financial Accounting Manager from 2004 to 2007.

In 2007, Justin joined CSL as a Divisional Controller for CSL Biotherapies and held the role until 2011. During this time, they also worked as the Divisional CFO for CSL Plasma, a subsidiary of CSL. In these roles, they had financial leadership responsibilities, maintained internal control frameworks, handled financial reporting and business planning, and provided input for strategic decision-making.

From 2011 to 2015, Justin continued their journey with CSL as the Sr Director Finance for CSL Plasma. Their responsibilities included finance leadership, maintaining internal controls, financial reporting, business planning, decision support, staff development, and tax compliance.

In 2015, Justin took on the role of Finance Integration Lead for CSL's acquisition of Novartis Influenza Vaccines. After that, they became the Senior Director of Corporate Finance at CSL from 2016 to 2017.

Justin then joined Costa as a Group Finance Manager in 2017, where they had direct responsibility for management reporting, financial planning & analysis, shared services, treasury, and group capital control. Justin focused on establishing and improving financial systems and controls to support Costa's rapid growth.

In 2018, they moved to Diver Foods Pty Ltd as the Chief Financial Officer until 2020, and then joined Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals in the same role until 2023.

Currently, Justin holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Starpharma, which they started in April 2023.

Justin Cahill completed their Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting and Marketing from Swinburne University of Technology from 1996 to 1998. Justin then pursued a Masters degree in Accounting at the same university from 2003 to 2005. Prior to their university education, Justin attended Whitefriars College from 1990 to 1995. Additionally, they were registered with the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) organization, although no specific dates or degree were provided for this credential.
