Janice Folk has diverse work experience in the field of residential life and student activities. Janice currently works as a Project Manager at StarRez, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Project Consultant at the same company from February 2022 to May 2023.
Before joining StarRez, Janice was associated with Maine Maritime Academy. Janice held various roles including Director of Residential Life and Student Activities from February 2020 to February 2022, Adjunct Professor in Arts & Sciences from August 2018 to December 2021, Assistant Director of Residential Life from May 2016 to February 2020, and Student Activities Coordinator from July 2015 to May 2016.
Additionally, Janice gained experience at University of Maine at Farmington as an Assistant Director of Residence Life for Training and Development from July 2014 to July 2015, at Stonehill College as a Residence Director from November 2012 to June 2014, and as a Health & Wellness Graduate Assistant from September 2013 to May 2014.
Janice'searlier experience includes working as a Resident Director at University of Maine at Machias from April 2010 to September 2012, and as a Community Development Assistant at Westfield State University from January 2007 to May 2009.
Janice Folk obtained their BA degree in Communications from Westfield State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Janice later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a focus on Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Salem State University from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Microsoft Excel: Beyond the Basics from Pryor Learning | Fred Pryor Seminars | CareerTrack in March 2019.
