STARS
STARS is a nonprofit organization that supports young people through the social and emotional barriers they face. We have five school and community programs on issues like bullying, substance misuse, and violence. The programs focus on prevention, intervention, treatment, and training. • For example, we have school-based services throughout Middle Tennessee, • We offer bullying-prevention training, • A clinical drug-misuse treatment program for teenagers, • Services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and • We even use puppets to educate elementary students about challenges and important issues. Our mission is to support young people in overcoming social and emotional barriers through creative and innovative programs centering on prevention, intervention, treatment, training, and compassion.
