Nafisa Shamim Rudmila is an experienced professional currently serving as the Start Fund Operations Officer at Start Network, where responsibilities include managing award, contract, financial, and procurement processes for various Start Funds Programmes while ensuring compliance with established policies. Previously, as the Start Fund Programme Officer, Nafisa oversaw the successful disbursement of £28.6 million to humanitarian crises across over 80 countries. Nafisa's expertise extends to roles such as Postgraduate Consultant for Re-Alliance, where an evidence-based Monitoring and Evaluation Toolkit was developed, and Consultant at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, managing over 150 grant applications related to humanitarian and development projects. Nafisa also contributed to UNDP as a Research Assistant, focusing on project formulation, donor reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The educational background includes an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with multiple degrees in Geology and a Junior Certificate in Japanese Language from the University of Dhaka.
