Juan Carlos Rico began their career in 2020 as COO & Co-Founder of Move Ventures, a US market launching and scaling agency for B2B startups. In 2022, they took on the role of Sales Advisor at Alexsei, an AI-powered legal research company. Juan Carlos also became Managing Partner LATAM at Velis Real Estate Tech, a transcontinental property management company, and Sales Advisor at Trusted Twin, a data sharing company. In the same year, they also took on Sales Advisor roles at TransactionLink, an API-based FinTech company, and dotLinkers - IT recruitment, an IT recruitment agency. Juan Carlos then became Sales Advisor at Antigro Designer and Advisor at Row64 and Position². Finally, they were a Go to Market Mentor at Starta VC.

Juan Carlos Rico attended The University of Queensland from 2006 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations. Juan Carlos then attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs. Additionally, they attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2008 to 2008, though no degree was earned.
