Suvodeep Pyne

Suvodeep Pyne has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Suvodeep started their career as a Summer Research Trainee at National Aerospace Laboratories, where they validated flight mechanics and control parameters of the SARAS Aircraft. Suvodeep then worked as a Research Technician at Texas A&M University, where they developed a novel algorithm to solve the Traveling Salesman Problem. Suvodeep also created a MATLAB function library for statistical analysis.

Afterwards, Suvodeep joined Sabre Holdings as an Associate Software Developer before moving on to Infinera, where they worked as a Software Engineer in the Systems department. At Infinera, they contributed to the development of the Network Planning System, an engineering and analysis tool for optical network systems.

Subsequently, Suvodeep joined NVIDIA as a Software Engineer Intern, where they worked on building C/C++ APIs for BIOS security and extraction modules in the GPU driver. Suvodeep also gained experience in kernel-level debugging on Windows.

Later, Suvodeep joined LinkedIn as a Senior Software Engineer, where they optimized ML workflows and data pipelines as a member of the Data Infra team. Suvodeep also served as the lead engineer for Azkaban, LinkedIn's workflow scheduling engine.

Prior to their current role, Suvodeep co-founded Quasix and served as the CTO. During their time at Quasix, they built Realia, an educational B2B social platform catering to over 100,000 users. Suvodeep played a crucial role in growing the company from zero to 15 employees and acquiring 2,000+ clients.

Currently, Suvodeep is working as a Founding Engineer at StarTree, a company they helped establish in 2020.

Suvodeep Pyne holds a Masters in Computer Science degree from Texas A&M University, which was obtained from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their B.Tech. (Hons.) in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, from 2005 to 2009. In 2002 to 2004, they obtained their AISSCE degree in Science from Bhavans Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir Kolkata. In terms of additional certifications, Suvodeep has completed a number of courses on machine learning and deep learning through Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning. These certifications were obtained between February and April 2020.
