Andy Rachmiel

Andy Rachmiel has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Andy has served as the Product MVP Practice Lead, Fundraising Advisor, and Consultant at Startups.com since August 2022. In this position, they advise early-stage companies on operations, pitch deck creation, capital raise preparation, and fundraising.

Prior to their current role, Andy founded 64 HTM, LLC in October 2013. Through this consulting firm, they provided business and technology consulting services, with a focus on business formation, growth, product development, commercialization, fundraising, and operations. Additionally, they created and commercialized a SaaS solution for at-home medical cosmetic procedures, trained a team of software engineers, and transitioned product development and support to them.

As the Co-Founder of Universal Product Registration from January 2016 to October 2018, Andy created a technology solution for brand protection, recall management, and customer service. Andy managed outsourced web and mobile application development, developed a patent-pending algorithm for counterfeit product detection and prevention, and prepared business plans and investor slide decks for capital campaigns.

From August 2015 to October 2018, at Oval Brand Fire Products, Andy served as the CTO/COO. In this role, they implemented and integrated technical and financial systems, oversaw financial reporting and analysis, led capital raises, built investor relationships, supervised staff, and streamlined business processes. Andy also created and executed the corporate business plan and vision.

Andy worked at Avnet Technology Solutions from November 2012 to September 2013 as the VP of Software Solutions, Business Analytics. Andy supported the post-company acquisition process, improved proprietary software technology, streamlined processes, and led product development, customer success, and worldwide partner channels.

Before their time at Avnet, Andy was the Co-Founder and CEO of BSP Software - A Tech Data Company from May 2004 to October 2012. Andy grew this IBM Premier Partner organization into a global brand, delivering technology consulting expertise and advising clients on business intelligence, financial planning, enterprise dashboarding, and data warehousing. BSP Software was acquired by Avnet, Inc.

From January 2000 to May 2004, Andy worked at Cognos as a Solution Architect and Business Analytics Consultant. Andy was responsible for integrating software acquisitions into the existing platform and building custom solutions for enterprise customers. Andy also served as an implementation consultant for clients such as GE Medical Systems, Abbott Laboratories, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and Smurfit-Stone Container.

Earlier in their career, Andy worked as a Decision Support Analyst at Pepsi Cola General Bottlers IL LLC from September 1998 to December 1999. Here, they designed and implemented corporate-wide reporting and analysis solutions using Cognos Corporation's business intelligence software suite.

Andy began their career at Price Waterhouse Coopers- PwC as a Senior Auditor from August 1996 to August 1998. In this role, they focused on corporate tax audits and business process reviews for clients including Tootsie Roll Industries and Smurfit Stone Container Corporation.

Andy Rachmiel earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, between 1992 and 1996. Andy then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from DePaul University, completing their studies between 1999 and 2001. Additionally, in August 1996, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Illinois CPA Society.
