Theodore Leng, MD, MS, is a Professor of Ophthalmology and, by Courtesy, of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, where Theodore has held various academic positions since July 2009, including Director of Clinical and Translational Research and Founder and Medical Director of the Stanford Ophthalmic Reading Center. Additionally, Theodore serves as the Medical Informatics Director for Ambulatory Specialties at Stanford Health Care, and has been involved with multiple organizations such as the Foundational Principles of Ophthalmic Imaging and Algorithmic Interpretation and the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. With a strong background in clinical research and education, Theodore has enhanced ophthalmic diagnostic techniques and contributed to the advancement of digital solutions in ophthalmology through leadership roles in organizations including the Digital Ophthalmic Society. Theodore Leng earned an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and holds multiple degrees in biological sciences and philosophy from Stanford University and Dartmouth College.
