Chief Technology Officer - CTO at STARZPLAY

Faraz Arshad has a diverse work experience in the technology field. Faraz currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at STARZPLAY, starting in March 2021. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Technology & Digital Infrastructure at the same company from October 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java Springboot, Vue, React, Flutter, and Koitlin. Faraz also has extensive experience in implementing scalable and highly available systems using cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud. Furthermore, Faraz is familiar with the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), including ongoing maintenance and support after deployment. Faraz is also well-versed in DevOps, Automated Testing, and Continuous Delivery, working with platforms and technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker. Before joining STARZPLAY, Faraz worked at Qtelmedia Communications FZ LLC from January 2008 to February 2015 as the Network & System Integrations Manager.

Faraz Arshad obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the Preston Institute of Management Sciences and Technology between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, they attended Shaheen Public School. In addition to their formal education, Faraz has also obtained certifications in various fields, including Certified Ethical Hacking, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Cisco Certified Inter-Network Expert, Cisco Certified Network Associates, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Deploying Cisco ASA VPN Solutions, Microsoft Certified Solution Expert, and SCRUM Master.
