JingTao Tan

JingTao Tan has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Web Developer at Butterfly Internet from February 2012 to November 2013. JingTao then worked as a Software Engineer at Arvato Systems Malaysia from May 2014 to July 2018, where they played a key role in transforming a collaboration tool into a cloud-hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product. During their tenure, they successfully influenced senior management to recreate the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of the product to suit the target user base. JingTao also defined the roadmap and high-level product features for the SaaS version and prioritized product features to align with the company's go-to-market plans. Additionally, they facilitated the Scrum process and was the main point of contact for external partners.

From August 2018 to October 2021, JingTao worked as a Mobile App Product Owner at Maxis, collaborating with various teams to create and enhance user journeys in mobile applications and digital channels. JingTao also prioritized backlog items and ensured timely delivery aligned with customer and company needs. JingTao learned segment-based marketing and churn management from experienced colleagues, gaining valuable insights into omnichannel marketing capabilities.

Currently, JingTao is working as a Product Manager at StashAway since October 2021. In this role, they focus on onboarding, customer data, and martech. JingTao has already made notable contributions, including improving onboarding conversion rates in Thailand and scoping MVPs to balance technology and manual processes for unlocking business value. JingTao also demonstrates strategic thinking by envisioning the long-term vision for onboarding and customer data roadmap and iteratively delivering value-generating increments.

JingTao Tan's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2013, JingTao Tan attended RMIT University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Software Engineering. During this time, their studies focused on usability, UI design, .NET web development, and systems architecture.

In 2010 and 2011, JingTao Tan studied at Taylor's University, completing a Bachelor of Computer Science. Their field of study at Taylor's University was computer science.

In 2009, JingTao Tan attended Taylor's College, where they completed a Foundation in Computing program. The field of study for this program was computing.

Prior to attending university, from 2004 to 2008, JingTao Tan studied at Wesley Methodist School in Kuala Lumpur. They completed the Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), with a focus on science.

In addition to their formal education, JingTao Tan has obtained various certifications. These include "Communication for Product Managers" and "Becoming a Product Manager," obtained from LinkedIn in November 2021 and October 2021, respectively. They have also completed the certification for "Improve Cognitive Flexibility at Work," "Prioritizing Your Tasks," and "How to Stop Wasting Time in Meetings" through LinkedIn, obtained in October 2021 and July 2021, respectively. Finally, they hold the certification for "Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I)," obtained from Scrum.org in December 2020.
