Lucas Ting

Lucas Ting has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lucas started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Lucas then interned at the Taiwan National Science Council and later worked as a Process Engineer Intern at Procter & Gamble.

Lucas continued their career at Procter & Gamble as an R&D Engineer, where they focused on polymer web handling and led a high-speed camera imaging project for quality assurance.

Afterwards, Lucas joined the University of Washington as a Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant, where they invented and patented a microfluidic device and conducted research on blood flow forces and atherosclerosis disease progression. Lucas later became a Post-Doctoral Research Associate and led a team focused on discovering platelet affecting pharmaceuticals and researching cardiovascular clot development.

Currently, Lucas works as the Director of Research & Development at Stasys Medical. In this role, they lead the system and sub-system level design and interfaces for a point-of-care medical device. Lucas also manages part suppliers, conducts cost analysis, and oversees the release of drawings.

Lucas Ting holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, which they completed from 2010 to 2013. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, starting in 2008 and graduating in 2010. Lucas also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Earlier in their education, Lucas attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, although no specific degree or field of study is provided.
