Ahsin Waqas

Ahsin Waqas possesses extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as Additional Director in the Exchange Policy Department at the State Bank of Pakistan, with a career that began in April 2008. Previous roles at the State Bank include Senior Joint Director positions in various departments, focusing on investment, commercial remittances, banking inspection, and regulations. Ahsin's earlier experience includes serving as Credit Hub Head and Credit Analyst at MCB Bank Limited from December 2000 to 2008. Ahsin holds an MBA in Finance from Quaid-e-Azam University, along with various professional qualifications including FRM from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and completed Levels 1 and 2 of the CFA program from the CFA Institute. Additional educational accolades include a postgraduate diploma in Islamic Banking from the Center of Islamic Economics and a diploma in Banking from the Institute of Bankers Pakistan.
