Maddie Steen

Maddie Steen is a skilled professional with a background in customer service and editorial management. Currently a Customer Service Representative at State Collection Service, Inc. since August 2019, Maddie excels in high-performance call handling, assisting patients with billing and insurance inquiries. Previously, at Northern Star Media from January 2016 to April 2018, Maddie held multiple roles, including Managing Editor, where responsibilities included redesigning the publication's logo and overseeing editorial operations. As a Perspective Columnist, Maddie authored opinion pieces on campus life, and in the role of Perspective Editor, ensured content quality and reliability through diligent oversight. Additionally, as Visual Editor, Maddie enhanced the newsroom's photojournalism through graphic creation and video production. Maddie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University, earned in 2017.
