Chris Simmons

Chris Simmons is currently an advisor at the State Fair of Texas. Chris has over fifteen years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on facilities and project management. Chris began their career as a maintenance engineering intern at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in 2000. Chris then spent three years as a machinery engineer at ExxonMobil from 2003-2006. In 2006, they transitioned to Devon Energy, where they spent the next eleven years in various engineering roles, eventually becoming engineering manager in 2014. Chris left Devon Energy in early 2015 to join Enlink Midstream as engineering manager, but returned to Devon later that year. Chris has been with the State Fair of Texas since 2017.

Chris Simmons has a bachelors degree from Mississippi State University.
