Research Intern, Reproductive Rights at State Innovation Exchange

Morgan Newport is a dedicated professional with a robust academic background and extensive hands-on experience in research and community service. Currently serving as a Research Intern for the Reproductive Rights team at State Innovation Exchange, Morgan supports initiatives aimed at advancing abortion rights through legislative leadership. Morgan also holds the position of Operations Assistant at San Diego State University and has previously worked as an Instructional Assistant in graduate-level courses. Prior research roles include studying policies on Violence Against Women in Mexico and assisting a professor on the implementation of United Nations Resolution 1325 in Africa. Additional experiences encompass working as a Wilderness Park Ranger with the National Park Service, serving as an Administrative Assistant for the SDSU Research Foundation, and volunteering with Sierra Community House to combat food insecurity. Morgan's educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution and ongoing dual Master's studies in Public Health and Latin American Studies at San Diego State University.
