Mike Humphrey

Mike Humphrey is a seasoned professional in benefits management with extensive experience spanning various roles in public and private sectors. Currently, as a member of the Governor's Retiree Health Plan Advisory Board for the State of Alaska since August 2022, Mike focuses on maintaining a comprehensive health plan for retirees while addressing rising healthcare costs. Previously, Mike served as the retired manager of Benefits & Records at Alaska Railroad, where responsibilities included managing benefit vendors, analyzing market data, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additional roles include Senior Benefits Advisor at The Wilson Agency, Executive Officer at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Advisory Council Member at TIAA-CREF, Director of Benefits at the University of Alaska, HR Consultant at Information Insights, and Manager of Labor Relations at Ferris State University. Mike holds a Master’s degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State University.
