Wes M.

Wes M. is currently serving as the Department IT Helpdesk Manager for the State of Alaska's Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development since January 2022, overseeing helpdesk operations and training support personnel. Previously, Wes held key roles as the Department IT Portfolio Management Officer at the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, where responsibilities included managing IT project portfolios and policies. Earlier career experiences include managing the statewide IT Customer Services Help Desk for the Department of Family & Community Services and providing network administration as a Microcomputer/Network Specialist for DOT&PF. At GCI General Communication, Inc., Wes grew the Southeast Alaska business account portfolio dramatically while managing installation projects. Additional experience includes operations management and computer repair at Southeast Digital Photography and bookkeeping at Home Depot. Wes's educational background includes attendance at Yaakoosgé Daakahídi Alternative High School.
