Frank Ruffino

Frank Ruffino currently serves as the State Treasurer Designee at CalPERS, CalSTRS, CEA, and other Boards, commissions, or authorities, as well as the State Director for Pension & Benefits at the California State Treasurer's Office since January 2019. In addition, Ruffino has been a Public Board Member for the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists since May 2018, and holds multiple leadership positions at the Association of California State Supervisors, including President and CEO. With a career spanning from July 1985 to present in various roles within the State of California, Ruffino has also served as a Gubernatorial Appointee, General Services Administrator, and Community Partnership Manager. Furthermore, Ruffino has been President of the lifetime in Hawaii Owners Association since July 1994, and has held prominent positions within the California State Employees Association, including Chairman of the Board since December 2017 and Regional Political Director from 1990 to 2002. Prior municipal service includes roles as Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Chula Vista and Planning Commissioner for the City of Coalinga.
