Susan Rich-Bye has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Susan started their career as an Associate Director, Corporate Relations at the American Craft Museum in 2000. Susan then worked as a Grants Officer at Stepping Stones Museum for Children from 2002 to 2004. After that, they joined The Mark Twain House & Museum as an Associate Director of Institutional Giving and remained in that role until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they served as the Director of Advancement at the Montessori School of Greater Hartford. In 2013, they joined Access Health CT as a Legal Consultant, and within the same year, they were promoted to Associate General Counsel. In 2015, they became the Director of Legal Affairs and Policy, and in 2017, they were appointed as the Director of Legal and Governmental Affairs at Access Health CT.

Susan Rich-Bye holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boston University, which they earned from 1980 to 1984. Susan then pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Syracuse University College of Law, completing their studies from 1985 to 1988. Later on, Susan obtained a Master of Arts degree in Arts Administration from New York University, where they were enrolled from 1997 to 1999.
