Betty Walton is a seasoned academic and consultant in the field of social work, currently serving as a Research Associate Professor and previously as Assistant Research Faculty at Indiana University School of Social Work since 2012. With a long-standing involvement at Indiana University and the State of Indiana since 2000, Betty Walton has also held positions as a consultant for the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration's Division of Mental Health & Addiction and as Director of Indiana CANS and ANSA Training and Technical Assistance. Betty Walton earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis, a Master of Social Work from The University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
