Joseph M. Mele

Joseph M. Mele currently serves as a Bailiff at Lake County, Indiana's Magistrate’s Court Room since February 2024. Prior to this role, Joseph M. Mele has held positions within the State of Indiana as a Certified Police Instructor and in Community Outreach since June 2021. Between June 2021 and June 2022, Joseph M. Mele worked as a Diversion Outreach Coordinator for KACE Company, collaborating with the Drug Enforcement Administration to foster community engagement through extensive partnerships. Joseph M. Mele has also contributed to the US Department of Justice as a Diversion Investigator from June 1998 to April 2021 and served as a Detective at Griffith Police Department for 20 years. Joseph M. Mele earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Indiana State University.
