Doug Ommen

Doug Ommen has extensive experience in the insurance and legal sectors, currently serving as Insurance Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner at the Iowa Insurance Division since August 2013. Prior to this role, Ommen worked as an Insurance Regulatory, Securities and Government Affairs Attorney at Schreimann, Rackers, Francka & Blunt, LLC. Notably, Ommen held positions in the Office of the Missouri Attorney General, including Chief Counsel for the Consumer Protection Division, overseeing enforcement of consumer protection laws. Additional experience includes serving as an administrative law judge, Department Director at the Missouri Department of Insurance, and Commissioner of Securities. Ommen's educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rockhurst University.
