Karen Butterfield has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as a Strategic HR Partner for the State of Maine since April 2001, where responsibilities include managing the rollout of the new HRIS (Workday) and contributing to the launch of a new learning management system. Previously, Karen filled roles such as Sr. Personnel Analyst-Compensation Analyst and Planning and Research Associate, where responsibilities ranged from job classification and compensation analysis to managing significant grant programs. Earlier experience includes a position at Hewitt Associates in benefits administration and a role as a Visual Merchandiser at JC Penney Co. Karen holds a degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing from Florida State University and an AA in General Studies from Tallahassee State College.
