Lisa Higgins

Lisa Higgins is an experienced Environmental Engineer with a professional background spanning over three decades. Currently employed at the State of Maine since July 2000, Lisa focuses on permitting engineering for the Department of Environmental Protection's Air Bureau and conducts outreach regarding air regulations, specifically hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP/MACTs). Prior to this role, Lisa worked at Sappi from July 1987 to July 1998 as an Environmental/Process Engineer, addressing air issues and contributing to process engineering for the pulp preparation section and wastewater treatment plant. Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, obtained between 1983 and 1987, and graduated from Wisdom High School in 1983.
