Maine Legislative Representative at State of Maine

Sue Bernard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communication and leadership roles. Since December 2020, Sue has served as the Maine Legislative Representative, participating in the Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry committee and serving as the ranking Republican member of the Industry, Development, Economic Advancement and Business Committee. Concurrently, Sue has been an Executive Assistant to the President at Northern Maine Community College since September 2012, managing special projects and communications, while also taking on semi-retired, contract work for the President. Prior roles include Dean of Development and College Relations at the same institution, responsible for fundraising and media relations, and Communications Director for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, overseeing internal and external communications. Earlier in Sue's career, from February 1981 to January 2002, Sue held the position of News Director at WAGM-TV, managing a news team and producing broadcasts. Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.
