Carley Petrey has extensive experience in public health and administrative roles, currently serving as a Suicide Fatality Review Committee Member at the Maryland Department of Health since February 2023, where responsibilities include addressing suicide-related issues and facilitating system changes for prevention. Since July 2020, Carley has held the position of Administrative Officer II for the State of Maryland, supervising the Data Abstraction Unit and managing projects related to the Maryland Violent Death Reporting System and the State Unintentional Overdose Reporting System. Previous roles include Administrative Officer I at the Maryland Department of Health, Project Coordinator at EFI Global, and Violent Death Data Abstractor for the State of Maryland, alongside roles in the service industry. Carley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Studies with a Concentration in Police Investigation from the University of Baltimore between 2014 and 2016.
