Lester Davis

Lester Davis is an accomplished leader currently serving as Chief of Staff to Maryland’s 63rd Governor, marking a significant milestone as the first African American to hold this office in the state. Previously, Davis held the role of Vice President and Chief of Staff to the CEO at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where collaboration with stakeholders led to impactful outcomes in the healthcare sector. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Baltimore's Mayor, and various positions in strategic communications and development. Davis began a professional career in journalism, with significant roles at The Palm Beach Post, The Gazette, and as a reporting intern at The Baltimore Sun. Davis holds a degree in Print Journalism from Norfolk State University.
