Pokuaa Owusu-Acheaw

Pokuaa Owusu-Acheaw currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Wes Moore and previously held the position of Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governor Aruna K. Miller in the State of Maryland since January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director of Legislative and Political Affairs at the Maryland State Education Association, Intergovernmental Affairs Officer for Prince George's County, and Regional Director for Senator Chris Van Hollen in the United States Senate. Pokuaa Owusu-Acheaw also worked as Legislative Director and Aide for Senator Joanne C. Benson, alongside experiences at the Law Office of Adriane C. Jemmott and the Office of the Public Defender Maryland. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree in Intellectual Property Law and Public Interest from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication & Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh.
