Michelle Stoops

Michelle Stoops is a Program Development Specialist for ICWA and Diligent Search for the State of Missouri, where responsibilities include managing ICWA compliance and developing policies to protect foster children's rights. Previously, Michelle served as a Regional Support Specialist, aiding the Children's Division in diligent search efforts. Prior experience includes roles at Unite Us as a Customer and Community Success Manager and Community Engagement Manager, enhancing relationships with community organizations and key accounts. Earlier positions at Anthem, Inc. and WellCare Health Plans focused on addressing social barriers to health outcomes through community collaboration. Michelle started her career at Preferred Family Healthcare and Alternative Opportunities, Inc., providing advocacy and support for families facing issues related to substance use and child welfare. Michelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Child and Family Development, and Criminology from Missouri State University.
