Val Huhn

Val Huhn serves as the Director of the Missouri Department of Mental Health, a role held since January 2022, following a period as Acting Director starting in November 2021. Prior positions include Deputy Director and Division Director within the Missouri Department of Mental Health, as well as experience as Deputy Division Director for MO HealthNet Division and Assistant Budget Director for the State of Missouri. Val Huhn's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield and a BA/BS in Business Administration, History, and Political Science from Culver-Stockton College. Currently, Val Huhn is furthering expertise through the Driving Government Performance program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
