James Galu

James Galu is an experienced emergency management professional and educator serving as a Fire Protection Specialist for the State of New York since March 2013, where responsibilities include coordinating outreach training and supervising State Fire Instructors across multiple regions. In addition, Galu has held the position of Resource Unit Leader on the New York State Incident Management Team since January 2020, leading incident check-in activities and resource management during significant deployments. Previous roles include Tactical Operations Center Manager at CSC for events at the United States Military Academy and Transportation Security Officer with the TSA. Galu holds a Master of Science in National Security and Public Safety and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Fire Science from the University of New Haven.
