Melanie Good has extensive work experience in the field of human services and corrections. Melanie began their career in 2007 as a Correctional Program Specialist at the State of Ohio, where they worked until 2014. Melanie then transitioned to the role of Correction Specialist and later became a Human Services Program Administrator. In 2018, they were promoted to the position of Chief of Unit Management within the same organization. In 2021, Melanie briefly served as Deputy Superintendent before transitioning to their current role as an Adjunct Instructor at Sinclair Community College, starting in 2022.

Melanie Good obtained their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree from Ohio University in the years 2003-2005. In 2021-2022, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Franklin University. Melanie also obtained a certification in Public Service Leadership from Franklin University in 2022.
