Brian Detman

Brian Detman is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in youth development, policy, and community initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of the Youth Development Council for the State of Oregon, Brian is dedicated to enhancing Oregon’s education system and supporting youth programs for ages 6-24. Prior to this role, Brian was the Executive Director at Caldera Arts, where innovative arts and environmental programs were developed for underserved youth. Brian's background includes key positions in Multnomah County, where significant contributions were made in juvenile services and community justice, as well as leadership roles at Clean Energy Works Oregon and Metropolitan Group, focusing on partnerships and business development. Brian also has a foundation in program administration from the I Have a Dream Foundation Oregon and admissions from Whitman College. Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Whitman College.
