Garth Werner

Garth Werner currently serves as the Command Center Operations Manager for the State of Oregon, a position held since July 2014. In this role, Garth is an integral member of several teams including the Mainframe Team and Disaster Recovery Architecture Sub Committee. Prior to this, Garth worked at the Oregon State Data Center, serving as a Mainframe z/OS Storage Systems Architect and an Information Systems Specialist, where responsibilities included monitoring mainframe operations and utilizing various management tools. Garth’s extensive experience in mainframe systems spans roles with the Oregon Lottery and Unisys, focusing on software administration, mainframe security, and disaster recovery planning. Garth holds education credentials from ITT Tech and Centennial High School.
