Gordon Howard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban and rural planning, legal counsel, and community development. Currently serving as the Community Services Division Manager at the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development since April 2012, Gordon oversees a team of 14 staff members and provides vital planning services for cities and counties across Oregon. Prior roles include Deputy Legislative Counsel for the Oregon Legislature, Staff Attorney and Planning Director for the City of West Linn, Senior Planner for Multnomah County, Advanced Planning Manager for the City of Chula Vista, and Regional Planner for San Diego County Planning and Land Use. Gordon holds a Juris Doctor degree from Lewis and Clark Law School, a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC San Diego.
