Lowell Alik

Lowell Alik is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement and language services. As Co-Founder of the Marshallese American Network for Interacting Together (MANIT) since September 2021, Lowell has played a pivotal role in cultural advocacy. Additional roles include working as a Marshallese Interpreter and Translator since October 2016, serving as a Notary Public for the State of Oregon since August 2021, and previously holding the position of Native Language Specialist at Salem-Keizer Public Schools. Lowell's leadership skills were demonstrated through positions such as Donor Relations Manager and Program Manager at the Oregon Marshallese Community Association, as well as key memberships on various advisory and human rights boards with the City of Salem. Furthermore, Lowell was a candidate for the Senate of Wotje Atoll during the 2019 national elections in the Republic of the Marshall Islands and has held significant roles in environmental policy and planning within the Marshall Islands.
