John C. Driscoll

John Driscoll is an experienced executive in the maritime and shipping industry, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Alabama Port Authority since June 2020. Previously, John held the position of Maritime Director at the Port of Oakland from January 2014 to May 2020. John's extensive career includes multiple leadership roles at CMA CGM, where responsibilities encompassed Vice President positions in Export Sales, Trade & Customer Care, USA Commercial, and General Manager. Prior to this, John worked at A.P. Moller - Maersk, serving as Area Sales Manager for Brazil and General Manager for Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Early career achievements include leadership roles at Sealand Service Inc., managing operations in Central America and the Caribbean. Educationally, John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation & Marketing from the University of Maryland, earned between 1976 and 1980.

Alabama State Port Authority
