Markus Weis

Markus Weis is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Intermediary Distribution for Germany and Austria, as well as Managing Director and Head of SPDR ETFs for the same regions at State Street Global Advisors since July 2022. Prior to this role, Markus held the position of Senior Sales Executive and Deputy Head of Germany & Austria at Vanguard from January 2018 to July 2022. Markus also has a robust background in distribution, having worked as Head of GSAM Third Party Distribution for Germany & Austria at Goldman Sachs from August 2008 to January 2017, and as Sales Manager for Bank Distribution at Fidelity Worldwide Investment from March 2002 to July 2007. Markus holds a Certified International Investment Analyst qualification obtained through DVFA from January 2007 to September 2007.
