Matthew George

Matthew George has extensive experience in finance, currently serving as Chief Finance Officer for Asia Pacific at State Street Global Advisors since 2012, where strategic growth initiatives have been executed, including during the global COVID pandemic. Prior to this role, Matthew was Finance Director for Australia at the same company from 2007 to 2011, providing financial leadership during the Global Financial Crisis. Other notable positions include Business Finance Manager at Perpetual Limited, Group Financial Controller at J O Hambro Capital Management, and Group Finance Analyst at ANSBACHER & CO LIMITED. Matthew began a professional career as an Auditor at Grant Thornton International. Matthew holds a BComm from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a BCompt Honours from the University of South Africa, and has furthered education at The Wharton School and the University of Southern Queensland.
