Simona Mocuta

Simona Mocuta is a seasoned economist currently serving as Chief Economist and Managing Director at State Street Global Advisors since September 2015, where responsibilities include leading the Economics team and developing macroeconomic forecasts for G7 economies, Australia, and key emerging markets. Prior experience includes various roles at IHS Global Insight from April 2008 to August 2015, where Simona focused on Southeast Asian economies and managed a team of economists. Earlier roles encompassed macroeconomic analysis for North and West African countries at Standard & Poor’s DRI and research positions at Suffolk University and the Beacon Hill Institute. Simona holds multiple graduate degrees in International Economics and Political Science from Suffolk University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from West University of Timisoara.
