Beth Schaefer

Beth Schaefer is the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at State Street Corporation, a role they assumed in May 2024. Before this, they held several leadership positions at American Express from 2006 to 2014, including Vice President of External Reporting, where they managed a team of 90 and oversaw critical financial reporting processes. Prior to American Express, Beth served as Director of the Global Capital Markets Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, advising clients on SEC registration and compliance with US GAAP. Beth earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University in 1997.
