Arne Gussiås

Arne Gussiås has extensive experience in the field of civil and environmental engineering. Arne worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Statens vegvesen from 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they served as the Study Program Director of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2019 to 2023. Arne also worked at Statens vegvesen - Norwegian Public Roads Administration as a Senior Principal Engineer for a period of 14 years, from 2005 to 2019. Before joining Statens vegvesen, they worked as a Consultant at COWI, where their responsibilities included research and development projects focusing on materials durability, service life planning, condition assessment, design for durability and availability. Arne began their career as a Phd student and Research Scientist at NTNU in 1995 and continued in this role until 2001.

Arne Gussiås completed their education in chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Ålesund University College (HiÅ) in 1989 to 1992. Arne then pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1992 to 1995. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1995 to 2001.
