Chris Fitzsimon

President, Director And Publisher at States Newsroom

Chris Fitzsimon is the President/Publisher of States Newsroom, a national nonprofit state news network with outlets in 30 state capitals and Washington, D.C. Previously, Chris founded and served as the Executive Director of NC Policy Watch where Chris wrote the Daily Fitzsimon File column and delivered daily radio commentary. Additionally, Chris has experience as a Director at the Campaign to Protect America's Lands, Founder and Executive Director of the Common Sense Foundation, and Special Assistant for Policy and Communications at the Office of the Speaker in the NC General Assembly. Chris also has a background in journalism, working as a Political Reporter for WRAL-TV, WUNC-TV, and WECT-TV/WITN-TV. Chris holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
