Station1
Stephanie Garcia is an aspiring environmental engineer with a focus on environmental technology. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Station1 since June 2023, Stephanie is involved in innovative research initiatives alongside established companies and research institutions. Additionally, Stephanie is contributing to the Ipswich River Watershed Association as an Undergraduate Research Intern, where the focus is on environmental protection and ensuring sustainable water resources. Stephanie holds an Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from Middlesex Community College and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in the same field at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Station1 is a nonprofit higher education institution that is paving a pathway of opportunity through a new model of learning and research - socially-directed science and technology. Based upon a foundation of inclusion and equity, this model integrates science, technology, engineering, and math with humanistic fields and the social sciences at a granular level in order to interrogate, understand, and shape technologically-driven societal impact towards more equitable, ethical, and sustainable outcomes. Station1 delivers transformative education, research, and innovation programs and leads higher education systems change initiatives.
